Where It Started
How We Got Here
Rumbo was founded in the early 2000s by the Reyes family, who saw a gap between Central Valley producers and Bay Area buyers. Small farms and local distributors needed a reliable partner — not a massive freight company that treated them like an afterthought.
We started with a single refrigerated truck and a handful of restaurant clients in Fresno. Word spread fast. Within three years, we were running daily routes to Oakland and San Jose. Within five, we had a full fleet and contracts with regional grocery chains.
Today, Rumbo Distribution is one of the most trusted regional carriers in California. We haven't changed what matters: showing up on time, treating every load like it's our own, and knowing our clients by name.
